Mechanism of Action

Selank inhibits enkephalin-degrading enzymes, prolonging endogenous opioid peptide activity and supporting mood regulation. It potentiates GABAergic transmission without inducing receptor downregulation or dependence, and normalizes IL-6 and interferon-γ levels to calm neuroinflammation. Enhanced BDNF expression in limbic regions supports long-term cognitive clarity and emotional balance.
